First Light Marathon

We had a great time helping the L'Arche Foundation with the First Light Marathon. It was cold but fun. Pretty impressive to see all those runners come through. We went through over 30 gallons of water and powerade in less than 30 minutes. Wild times!!!

I appreciate all those that helped. Here is a link to the pictures taken by the Bishop family ( http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=20da4c192d026c91&sid=0AasW7Vu2auGbjA )

100th Anniversiary of Boy Scouting in the Mobile Area Council

Pack 143 enjoyed the festivities of the Centennial Jubilee Celebration at the Battleship in November. Some joined hundreds of campers camping out the night before or the night after the events. The boys enjoyed archery, BB guns, hot air balloon rides, educations seminars, visiting with USA athletes and much more! It was a great day to celebrate 100 years of scouting in the Mobile area!

Thanksgiving Dinner

Last Saturday night we had a great Thanksgiving Dinner with Pack 143 and family. Skits and awards were very entertaining. Matthew Westerfield presided over the event and did very well with public speaking. After frying 45# of turkey, I thought we would have plenty of left overs. However, I did not realize the locusts attacked the table and there were no scraps left. Congrats to all our 4th Grade Webelos who recieved the Parvuli Dei award!!
Next up will be the Christmas Party on December 18 at 2PM.
