Thanksgiving Dinner

Last Saturday night we had a great Thanksgiving Dinner with Pack 143 and family. Skits and awards were very entertaining. Matthew Westerfield presided over the event and did very well with public speaking. After frying 45# of turkey, I thought we would have plenty of left overs. However, I did not realize the locusts attacked the table and there were no scraps left. Congrats to all our 4th Grade Webelos who recieved the Parvuli Dei award!!
Next up will be the Christmas Party on December 18 at 2PM.

FALL CAMPOUT

Pack 143 had a great campout on November 7-8th at Chickasabogue Park. We had over 50 people in attendance. Everyone had a great time. Of course, we dine in style with spaghetti dinner and omelets for breakfast. The games, knot-tying, first-aid, and camp site activities all went well. We even found a way to watch the Alabama-LSU game which proves that necessity is the mother of ingenuity.

Halloween Party

What an incredible Halloween Party!!!! Pack 143 had a ghoulish good time at the Pack HALLOWEEN PARTY on Saturday. Pictures will be forthcoming but trust me when I say there were some seriously scary characters (and that's just some of the parents). All the scouts had a great time with activities like musical tombstones, bean bag pumpkin toss, mummy wrap (a perfectly normal thing to do with toilet paper), pumpkin painted/carved and guessing games, and of course, graveyard portraits. With Mass to follow and a homily by Father Cink that really put this holiday in perspective for me and a bunch of rowdy youngsters, the day was full and fun for all.
