Chickasabogue Camp Out

In the past, Annette and I have made a slide show and a scrapbook for the cubs, but I still think we are missing an opportunity to spread the good news. So, I thought this might be a good way for everyone to share their experiences and thoughts. Share what you learned. Share what works and doesn't work.

That being said, the Wolf Pack and some Webelos went camping at Chickasabogue Park on Saturday night. Here are a list of things that I learned:
1. Campside chats late into the night create some really funny memories. (and better friendships)
2. Josh Washington is a good man to bring camping; I still have a little tent and wagon envy.
3. 25 people at a campsite use ALOT of water in one day.
4. Sack omelets rock!!!!!
5. Clint Brooks can cook some pancakes.
6. The scouts all had a good time and there were no serious injuries... mission accomplished.

Here are some things that did not work so well....
1. I need to get directions BEFORE leaving for the park.
2. 45 degrees is COLD.
3. Tent walls do not block much sound.
4. Do not throw Evan's 3 legged frog away... (I still maintain my innocence)

I hope that you folks that did remember cameras will send me your photos to post. Please leave comments but remember this is a place to share and smile, not whine and moan...

God bless and I can't wait for the next one.
